Hilton Vacation Club acquires Flamingo and Royal Palm Resorts on St. Maarten in a 1.4 billion dollar acquisition

Hilton Grand Vacation (HGV) officially rebranding acquisitions

Big news on St. Maarten as Hilton a global leader in vacation ownership celebrated the rebranding of the Flamingo resort in Pelican key and Diamond international resort in simpsonbay in a 1.4 Billion dollar acquisition!

Flamingo resort which opened  as timeshare development resort in 1990 and was heavily damaged by Hurican Irma in 2017 which was followed by a full and complete renovations and the property reopened in 2020.

Hilton grand vacation (HGV) acquired the resorts in august 2021 and have started to manage the resorts  in consistency with the brands high  standards . This are 2 resorts that are being rebranded by Hilton in 2022 from 20 other properties around the world Flamingo resort being the 12th and Royal Palm the 13th as report by the St. Maarten Daily herald news paper. 

Hilton is expecting to roll out new programs such:

  • Hilton grand vacation max  which will allow club members to transfer back and forth from between the 2 clubs 
  • Plus  Hilton grand vacation ultimate access for premier events and privileges for owners 
  • Mission is to bring the best of both companies together & added value for the owners 

This is a new  chapter for  St. Maarten Resort industry as the world renowned Hilton brands, popularity and clients  will surely entice more guest to our friendly island.
